PROJECT LOCATION:  Larchmont, NY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Rebuild and extend existing tall privacy stone walls, rebuild and extend lower stone wall;  Both to "match" (and actually improve the look by reducing the oversize grout width) existing retaining wall by the Long Island sound.
Remove tree, playground swing set and existing man-made "mini-pond";
Rebuild, enlarge existing half round flagstone patio into a multi-level rectangle shaped with one notched corner.
Build a 4' wide walkway from driveway to new patio.
Install Belgian blocks along the driveway, a foot or so next to the new stone wall, separating the two, allowing room for shrubs and flowers.
Build a "built-in" space for the kid's basketball hoop.
Install a new wrought iron fence and a gate, "matching" (and again actually improve the look) the existing that was already over the retaining wall by the Long Island sound.
Finally, re-grade entire yard to a gentler slope.
The family landscaper took care of the grass seeding.
This family is now able to just sit back, relax and enjoy the Long Island sound and its splendid, tireless view...
