CLIENTS NAME: J & N
PROJECT LOCATION: White Plains, NY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Complete gutting of existing
"finished" basement, including the concrete floor slab. The entire
basement was excavated mainly to provide more headroom, but also to address
the issues of high moisture, high water table and poor air quality.
Over 60 cubic yards of dirt were hauled away.-- This bright walk-out
lower level features large French doors connecting the inside to the
outside, a wet bar with under counter refrigerator, a full bathroom with a
custom, large frameless steam shower with limestone; The customer's eyes
"light up" when asked, "how's the steam shower?"...
But the real feature of this lower level is the heated floor - That's right,
the entire heated concrete slab keeps your feet warm and your head cool...
The concrete slab was stamped while still wet, and then thoroughly sealed to
give it the English slate look... What used to be a dark, smelly
basement and nothing but a "sad storage space" is now the primary gathering
place where the entire family spends most of their time, all year round...
Also, built-ins were designed to accommodate a HD plasma TV and books in a
separate area. Extensive structural work, including replacement of
defective foundations, utilities relocation and/or replacement, lighting and
electrical work, as well as mechanical ventilation and plumbing work were
also part of the scope of work. Most of the ductwork layout was
replaced and reconfigured. A central vacuum outlet was added.
New stairs and railing were fabricated.

CLIENT COMMENTS:
"She [prospect
client] wanted to know if the project was on time and on budget. I told
her, for both [projects], it
went over and that some of it was our fault and some I thought was your
fault. She asked if we would use you again and I said yes and that we would
probably redo our master suite in the next 18 months. I told her that we
were happy with the quality of the work, and that when people came over they
were very impressed." -N, 01.23.06."
